The Lawyers' Club holds a luncheon at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse the third Thursday of every month with Ohio and Kentucky CLE credit at no extra charge. Attendees can get all required education credit hours—including ethics, professionalism, and substance abuse—simply by attending Club luncheons. Arrival is at 11:15 am; lecture is at 11:30 am; dine-in or carryout lunch is at 12:30 pm; and optional second lecture for members only is at 1:15 pm. Members enjoy all this, plus world-famous food, sweeping river views, free or valet parking, and renowned Lawyers' Club camaraderie, for only $20 ($30 for both lectures). That's about a third of what some CLE providers charge per credit hour, without the food.
Location
The Montgomery Inn at the Boathouse, 925 Riverside Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. Here’s a link to an interactive online map with directions:
http://montgomeryinn.com/boathouse-montgomery-inn-map.php
The Boathouse provides optional $2 valet parking if you take a sharp right turn toward the restaurant once in the parking lot. But feel free to tell the valet you want to park yourself, or carefully turn left of the traffic cones at the entrance to avoid the valet altogether.
Tell the greeter inside the front door that you’re with the Lawyers’ Club. You’ll be directed upstairs to the beautiful Bob Hope Room, with panoramic river views.
Times
11:00 am: Doors open. Please arrive early.
11:15 am: Latest arrival time. Check in, pay $20, pick up handout and other materials, find a seat, and place food order that will be served at that seat.
11:30 am: CLE program begins.
12:30 pm: Dine-in or carry-out lunch.
Menu
1:15 pm: Optional post-lunch CLE program for members only (for $10 more).
Make your selection on arrival at the Boathouse at 11:15 am, including whether you’ll later eat in or carry out. Those dining in will be served at the seat where the order sheet was filled out. Those taking out will pick up food at the carry out counter on the way out the front door.
Choose one of five entrees. Unless you order an entree salad, choose one of five sides: Saratoga chips, French fries, baked potato, baked sweet potato, or steamed broccoli. Then choose one of seven drinks: water, coffee, tea, and four kinds of soda.
Payment
$20—or $30 for double feature—is payable at the luncheon by cash or check. We regrettably can't take credit cards.
Reservations
Please make your reservation by noon the day before the meeting with your name, any guests’ names, and your phone number. You may reserve by phone to the Lawyers' Club voice mail at 859-426-8000 or by email to LawyersClubOfCincinnati@yahoo.com . Your timely reservation is a helpful courtesy, but we probably will be able to accommodate walk-ins and late reservations.
